  1. A

    Roxanne Parlour

Music venue from central casting: up some stairs ‘tween porn shop and pool hall. You’ll find two rooms of happy indie kids and a varied line up from rock and roll to electro avant-pop to trance/psy djs.

  2. B

    Miss Libertine

This rambling old pub mixes its crowd and keeps its musical outlook Catholic. The front bar goes off, but the main draw is their diverse line-up of local and touring acts, both live and on the turntables.

  3. C

    Pony

If too much rock and roll is barely enough, you can party hearty at Pony. It’s the kind of place where the distinction between ‘riff’ and ear-deafening noise is vague, but the crowds are always good fun.

  4. D

    Forum Theatre

The southern-sky rendered, domed ceiling and lavishly constructed interior is as much a reason to see big name acts here as the music itself.
