The Collingwood Children’s Farm is a bucolic spot right by the Yarra River, with grazing goats, cows, lambs and ponies, all of which tolerate tiny petting hands. The farm also runs a Farmers’ Market, where you can stock up on local organic produce.

    Take the kids

    humbucker recommends this,

    The kids (or you I guess) can milk a cow, feed the pigs, and cuddle a lamb.

    The farmers market is a good option on the second Saturday of the month. Local produce and a good place for lunch.
