If you’re looking to experience the diversity of India and Nepal, this 15-day trip contrasts the colourful culture of India with the pristine serenity of Nepal's Himalayan mountains. From the ghats that line the banks of the Ganges in Varanasi to a 4x4 safari in Chitwan National Park, our expert CEOs will take you through a region of unsurpassed natural beauty and spirituality before revealing to you the rugged Himalayan landscape of Nepal’s magical capital, Kathmandu.


Day 1
There are no planned activities until a welcome meeting around 14:00. Head out for a short orientation walk before an optional welcome dinner with the group. Included Activities: Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting Delhi Orientation Tour
Day 2
Travel to the "Pink City." Explore this beautiful city and opt to watch a Bollywood film. Included Activities: Orientation Walk Transport: Private Vehicle (6.00 hour(s))
Day 3
Visit the Amber Fort clinging to the surrounding hills and stop and take a photo of the Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds. This famous building is in fact only an elaborately carved facade built to enable the purdah ladies in the zenana to watch the goings-on in the street below without being seen. Opt to visit the nearby village of Sanganer to see blue pottery, hand made paper or hand block printing. After, opt to see watch a Bollywood film in the spectacular Art Deco film house — the Raj Mandir. Included Activities: Amber Fort Visit
Day 4

Day 5
Travel by train and local 'tempo' to reach Orchha. Enjoy some time away from India's bustling city and gain insight into rural life. Visit the Orchha Palace complex to learn more about the ancient history of the city. Make time to enjoy an evening puja ceremony. Day 6
Visit Tarragram, a unique paper-making plant, set up to assist tribal women from the area. All the paper is made from recycled clothing and wood pulp. After enjoy free time in town. Opt to rent a bike or stroll along the river. For lunch, opt to take a cooking class with a local family and enjoy the fruits of your labour. In the evening, head to Varanasi by overnight train. Day 7
With free time, walk the narrow alleys, visit some of the hundreds of temples and shrines or wander the Old City. Opt to visit the site of the Buddha's first sermon or sit on the banks of the Ganges watching life unfold around you. Included Activities: Orientation Walk Evening Ganges Boat Tour
Day 8
Enjoy a sunrise boat tour along the Ganges before free time in this holy city. Included Activities: Morning Ganges Boat Tour
Day 9
This is a long travel day to cross into Nepal. Enjoy the changing landscape and get ready to learn about the history and culture of Nepal. Fun fact: Nepal is 15 minutes ahead of India. Day 10 (1D)
Travel through a belt of marshy grasslands, savannas, and forests at the base of the Himalayas. The region is home to rhinos, elephants, Bengal tigers, bears and leopards. In the evening, meet the local Tharu community and experience their cultural through dance and song along with a traditional meal of Tharus. Day 11
Enjoy a 4x4 safari through the park before a walk through the village and rice paddies. Opt to go cycling around town before spending another night with your community hosts. Included Activities: Chitwan 4x4 Safari
Day 12
Pokhara has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. Opt to relax in a café, hire a boat and float around the lake, or shop for Nepali and Tibetan souvenirs in the endless stalls and shops. Day 13
Travel out to Sarangkot for a spectacular sunrise over the surrounding mountains (weather permitting). The walk back down through farms and forest to Pokhara is wonderful and takes between 2-2.5 hours. Included Activities: Sarangkot Sunrise Walk Sisterhood of Survivors Project
Day 14
En route to Kathmandu, visit Swayambhunath, the monkey temple, sitting high above Kathmandu city. Swayambhunath is the most ancient and enigmatic of all the holy shrines in Kathmandu valley. Its lofty white dome and glittering golden spire are visible for many miles. To reach Swayambhunath climb 365 steps that lead up the hill. The area surrounding the stupa is filled with temples, painted images of deities and numerous other religious objects. Arrive to the city in the afternoon and enjoy a short orientation walk. Highlights in Kathmandu include world-famous Durbar Square, the King’s Palace, the burning ghats at Pashupatinath and the Boudhanath Stupa.
