Days 2-4 Siem Reap/Angkor Wat
Travel from Thailand to Cambodia and follow the road to the former kingdom of the Khmers. Experience the extravagant beauty of the temples of Angkor with a local guide and examine the exquisite Cambodian bas-reliefs. Perhaps take the opportunity to visit Tonle Sap Lake or a nearby local village.
Days 5-6 Phnom Penh
Visit Phnom Penh and reveal the chilling events of Cambodia's past at S-21, the notorious Khmer concentration camp, and Choeung Ek, the site of the infamous Killing Fields. In free time, the Royal Palace reveals a different side of Cambodian history, while the Russian Market is a good place to pick up a traditional krama.
