hey guys and girls,
Me and my girlfriend are planning to go to cuba in early november for only a week.
We will be flying in from vancouver, Canada. we know 7 days is quite limited, but we would like to squeeze in 3-4 days of sightseeing and then go to nice all-inclusive resort for my girlfriend's birthday.
we have no preference on which city we should fly into, I have heard Havana and veradero are the popular options.
I'm planning to sail the Caribbean in a month
I wanted to know what are the favorite places for recreation on the island
I also wanted to get recommendations on attractions
I was happy to receive recommendations on companies sailed to the Caribbean Sailing
I found this site <snip> but I would love to get some more information
Day 1 - Norwegian Air flight from JFK - smooth flight, very good staff at JFK and excellent crew. Immigration and bags in PTP did not take too long. Walked to the rental car offices, waited in line for sixt with whom we had booked our car rental. They asked us to wait for a bus to the car pick up location, long wait for checking in but the wait for the bus wasn't too long. We travelled with my son's toddler's travel car seat so attached it to the car and headed directly to the Carrefour in…
I've just returned from 3 weeks in Haiti and want to post a quick summary here, before posting a more detailed report later this week hopefully.
This is mostly as a response to the excellent information I received here before going.
It's difficult to get much up-to-date information on Haiti, so anything is appreciated.
We used the 2013 Bradt guide, but even that is partly outdated.
Firstly I would like to tell people that Haiti is a wonderful though greatly impoverished country, and…
I plan to go sailing with 3-5 friends in the Carribbean from ~christmas 2016 to January 7th 2017.
We don't have a specific region in mind, the area around Guadeloupe (Dominica, Antigua, Barbuda,...) looks very appealing though.
Neither of us can sail, so we are looking for a good and knowledgable skipper and a boat (catamaran preferred).
Who has experience with a skipper, knows someone or has contacts?
thanks a lot
Hey guys! I've been getting lots of information from previous posts, so thanks already for that.
I will be in Haiti for my birthday at the end of the month. I wish I had more time to spend there, but I only have five days, and I'm trying to cram a lot into that small period of time. I originally decided I wouldn't have the time to fit the Citadelle with everything else I wanted to do, being that it is was really the only thing I was crazy about seeing that was so far away from everything…
