If you like skiing and plan some kind of wild ski-tour to Armenia, than the best choice is Aragatz mountain. You can drive up to the Stone lake (3200m) and stay in the meteo-station buliding. It is a nice hut with everything U may need. The price is from 3000 to 4000 AMD (8 - 10$ ) per day. There U can also find snowcats to drive nearly up to the top. But for me the best choice is to walk up to the top (3888m, 7km), but for that U need skins for the skies or snowshoes. From the top there are…

I got a NK visa in Yerevan for AMD 3000. Painless, but I was told there that areas such as Füzuli and Qubadlı were off-limits 'due to our [Nagorno Karabakh] army being there'....
I was also told I could only enter at the Aghuli Border post on the main Goris - Stepanakert Highway.
I am driving my own 4x4. No special permission is required to take a car into NK (although it is…
Hi everybody. "Tourism Information Center" in Yerevan is looking for the volunteers, who will travel in Armenia and write articles about the places that they have visited. We need experienced bloggers.
If U are interested, please write to my facebook account - Gor Ayzak Hovhannisyan
We are a group of 6 who will be travelling around Armenia and Georgia in late October/early November.
Among other places we want to visit Gyumri. There is a train leaving Yerevan for Gyumri at 08:00. We intend to stay in Gyumri for a couple of hours and then continue to Tbilisi at around 3pm the same day. Is there any public transport in the afternoon between two places?
And if we rent a taxi to take us to Tbilisi, how difficult would it be to find one and what price should we expect?
I am in Yerevan and plan to set off for Kapan on 30th September or 1st October. I am travelling to Kapan because I want to get the bus into Tabriz (Iran), stopping in Kapan overnight.
Does anyone want to join me for the journey?
I'm 29, Australian and pretty easy going
My wife and I spent four days touring Armenia with Levon (email@example.com) and couldn't have been more satisfied with this English-speaking, professional, cautious, friendly, honest, generous man. He picked us up at the Georgia/Armenia border at Bagratashen-Sadakhlo and was the perfect traveling companion. He was completely responsive to our requests (even as far as putting together an MP3 of our music requests) and budget and the only deviations from pre-arrangements worked out to our advantage.…
If I take the morning bus from Tatev to Goris, can I reach Yerevan on the same day? Basically, can I travel Tatev - Goris - Yerevan in one single day using public transportation? Thanks.
Hi I will be making the journey from Yerevan to Tabriz. I plan to start the trip down on the 30th Sept.
Can someone recommend a good route towards the border, and then crossing? I don't want to take a single long bus journey (15 hours!!!).
I would like to stop in villages on the way. I don't need to see ALL the tourist sites and monasteries. I am more interested in people and culture so would like to get a feel for Armenia through it's towns and scenery on the way, taking about 2-3 days to…
We are catching an early morning flight Tblisi to Istanbul.....looking for a private driver. Can anyone recommend one and/or a travel agency that can help us. Should the border crossing be a problem?...we would have just been in Georgia.
