Ushuaia – Fin Del Mundo
Blog: Canada's Adventure Couple - 1 February 2012
The catch phrase for Ushuaia Argentina is Fin Del Mundo (The End of the World) and it truly feels like you are at the bottom of the world when visiting this southernmost city on earth. Many a sailor lost their lives trying to circle Cape Horn, the Northern Boundary of the Drake Passage. Something we'll be crossing soon.

Blog: Canada's Adventure Couple - 30 January 2012
As I sit here in the Jorge Newbery airport in Buenos Aires waiting for our final leg of the trip to Ushuaia, I breathe a sigh of relief. It’s been 24 hours since we left Toronto to start our epic journey to the southernmost city in the world.

Around Ushuaia
Blog: The Road Chose Me - 50,000kms of ebb and flow - 6 February 2011
Now that I’ve made it to the bottom of the world, I’m going to stick around for a while and really soak it in. Hanging out with Seth, Parker and Justin is great fun, and when we’re not out drinking, we seem to be constantly finding some other kind of trouble. Somehow, all the locals [...]

Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego
Blog: The Road Chose Me - 50,000kms of ebb and flow - 2 February 2011
I organize to meet Seth are Parker, my buddies riding bikes from Alaska, for our final night of camping in the wild. I find them fishing at the beautiful Lake Bombilla, where we have a fantastic night laughing and reminiscing about the road traveled. We’ve figured out a few times that we were within a [...]

The White Continent or Bust – Antarctica
Blog: Trans-Americas Journey - 11 December 2010
We know it’s been a few weeks since we’ve put up any new blog posts but we’ve got a good reason: we were in Antarctica! No, we didn’t drive there. LAN Airlines got us to Ushuaia (the southernmost city in the world) and back and from there we sailed along the Antarctic peninsula for 11 days on the MV Antarctic Dream. Our thanks to both companies. Followers of our Journey know that we’ve been anticipating our Antarctic adventure since August and the planet’s most remote continent totally lived up the hype and our expectations.

A Feel-Good Moral to a Disappointing Hike
Blog: No Hurry Curry - 26 March 2010
3/18/10: Ushuaia, Argentina “I’m confused – did we ever actually see the glacier?” - Zhou, after our hike to the somewhat ambiguous Martial Glacier The nice part about growing up in Ohio is that there’s never any doubt whether or not you just saw a glacier. You didn’t. There are no glaciers in Ohio. Here at “the end [...]

Fully Recovered!
Blog: No Hurry Curry - 25 March 2010
3/17/10: Ushuaia, Argentina [Editor's Note: We've redone our site completely, so if you're reading in google reader come check it out and let us know what you think!] You may have noticed that my last few posts have been a bit lackluster. I think it’s because I’ve only just recovered today from the triple whammy of 1) [...]

My Antarctic Dream
Blog: No Hurry Curry - 24 March 2010
3/16/10: Ushuaia, Argentina For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to go to Antarctica. Granted, my memory isn’t great and I don’t remember much of anything before we were in Australia last month. But the point is, I’ve really wanted to go to Antarctica for at least a month, no matter the cost. $5,000 per [...]

Millions of Penguins, Penguins for Me
Blog: No Hurry Curry - 23 March 2010
3/15/10: Ushuaia, Argentina Kevin and I love to hang out with the local fauna (see: gorillas and see: pandas, which I still maintain was the best post I ever wrote), so we jumped at the chance to go to an island and visit with some penguins. I have to say – there was a lot of sketchy [...]

Ushuaia or Bussed!
Blog: No Hurry Curry - 22 March 2010
3/12/10 – 3/14/10: Argentina I wish space on the bus were a little more… malleable. They give me and Zhou two seats, but when she lies down she hardly uses any of her space. What if I could somehow mold that extra space into a nice twin bed for myself? That would be the good life. Instead [...]
