The catch phrase for Ushuaia Argentina is Fin Del Mundo (The End of the World) and it truly feels like you are at the bottom of the world when visiting this southernmost city on earth. Blog: The Road Chose Me - 50,000kms of ebb and flow - 6 February 2011

Now that I’ve made it to the bottom of the world, I’m going to stick around for a while and really soak it in. Hanging out with Seth, Parker and Justin is great fun, and when we’re not out drinking, we seem to be constantly finding some other kind of trouble. Somehow, all the locals [...]

  12. The White Continent or Bust – Antarctica

    Blog: Trans-Americas Journey - 11 December 2010

We know it’s been a few weeks since we’ve put up any new blog posts but we’ve got a good reason: we were in Antarctica! No, we didn’t drive there. LAN Airlines got us to Ushuaia (the southernmost city in the world) and back and from there we sailed along the Antarctic peninsula for 11 days on the MV Antarctic Dream. Our thanks to both companies.   Followers of our Journey know that we’ve been anticipating our Antarctic adventure since August and the planet’s most remote continent totally lived up the hype and our expectations.

Blog: No Hurry Curry - 26 March 2010

3/18/10: Ushuaia, Argentina “I’m confused – did we ever actually see the glacier?” - Zhou, after our hike to the somewhat ambiguous Martial Glacier The nice part about growing up in Ohio is that there’s never any doubt whether or not you just saw a glacier. 3/16/10: Ushuaia, Argentina For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to go to Antarctica. Blog: No Hurry Curry - 23 March 2010

3/15/10: Ushuaia, Argentina Kevin and I love to hang out with the local fauna (see: gorillas and see: pandas, which I still maintain was the best post I ever wrote), so we jumped at the chance to go to an island and visit with some penguins. I have to say – there was a lot of sketchy [...]

  17. Ushuaia or Bussed!

Blog: No Hurry Curry - 22 March 2010

3/12/10 – 3/14/10: Argentina I wish space on the bus were a little more… malleable. They give me and Zhou two seats, but when she lies down she hardly uses any of her space.
