Getting around
Taxis to/from the modern airport (USH), 4km southwest of downtown on the peninsula across from the waterfront, cost AR$18. Taxis can be chartered for around AR$60 per hour. There’s local bus service along Maipú.
Rental rates for compact cars (including insurance) start at around AR$150; try Pueblo Viejo or Localiza (430739; Sarmiento 81). Some agencies may not charge for drop off in other parts of Argentine Tierra del Fuego.
