Restaurants in El Bolsón

  1. Jauja

The most dependable confíteria in El Bolsó serves up all your faves with some El Bolsón touches (such as homemade bread and strawberry juice) thrown in. The daily specials are always worth checking out – the risotto with lamb and wild mushrooms is divine.

  2. Otto Tipp

After a hard day of doing anything (or nothing for that matter) there are few better ways to unwind than by working your way through Mr Tipp’s selection of microbrew beers. Guests are invited to a free sampling of the six varieties on arrival and there’s a good selection of regional specialties on hand, such as smoked trout and Patagonian lamb cooked in black beer, should you happen to get peckish.

  3. Cerro Lindo

Proving that you can stick a 'nouveau' in front of just about anything, this place offers 'Nouveau Patagonian' - plenty of lamb, beef, rabbit, venison and trout, accompanied by a jus, reduction, etc. Also features a good, but pricey wine list.

  4. Patio Venzano

On sunny days in the high season, you’ll want to arrive a little early to guarantee yourself an outside table. No surprises on the menu (pasta, parrilla ), but the atmosphere’s a winner.

Specializing in seafood, but offering an interesting range of meat dishes, this tiny, Spanish-influenced restaurant has a great atmosphere and serves up some of the best paella in town.

  6. Boulevarde

Excellent, thin-crust pizzas like you’ve probably been craving and a vaguely Irish-pub atmosphere. Around midnight El Bolsó town’s teen population rolls in and the party really starts.

  9. Las Brasas

Probably the finest dining option in El Bolsó. Las Brasas’ signature dish is Patagonian lamb, but the place offers all your other parrilla favorites, plus a good variety of trout dishes.
