I'll be traveling to BA next month for 3 weeks, and I'm super-excited! I've never been.
At any rate, what are some "do's" and "don't do's" you'd suggest for a first-time visitor to BA (and Argentina in general)?
Can anyone advise me on the best way to go from Buenos Aires to Iguaçu falls? The bus tickets are quite expensive, aprox 150 pounds with return ticket.
I read in another forum someone saying you can go to Ciudad del Este in Paraguay and buy the bus ticket to buenos aires and that will be cheaper (more than 50%) than buying in Argentina. I cannot find any website selling those tickets from Ciudad del Este to BA. Have any of you guys heard about that?
Thank you in advance.
I am planning a four week trip to Argentina in October/ November and my itinerary is coming together like this:
Fly into BA
Buenos Aires 7 days
Fitz Roy 4 days
El Chalten 8 days
El Cafafate 3 days
Buenos Aires 3 days
Fly out BA
Does anyone have any input on my itinerary? Or can anyone recommend day trips from any of these places (especially Iguazu falls). I am spending a bit of time in each place because 1) I like to travel slow and 2) the weather might be bad.
It looks to me…
I was wondering if I could get an up-to-date explanation of the state of the Argentinian blue market for USD at the moment? I was reading an article in Fortune (http://fortune.com/2015/12/28/argentina-peso-black-market/) that made it sound like the black market for USD --> Pesos was drying up.
As an Australian who is hoping to travel to Argentina, if this is true, I was not sure how much of a good idea it would be to convert AUD to USD at home and then into pesos in Argentina…
We are looking for a Spanish school in Buenos Aires (or a close suburb) for our 9 year-old girl during the week of June 27 and July 4 (total of two weeks). We prefer a Spanish school as opposed to a bilingual school. Are there schools that take in children for a few weeks? Are the schools in session during these two weeks in Argentina?
Thanks in advance.
We are more than happy to bus all around, given everything I've read about how great the bus system in Argentina and Chile is.
We are planning on heading to Montevideo for a day or so to check it out because why not? Happy to have suggestions on what to see whilst there because I don't know a lot about it.
Wanting to then head from B.A to Salta, specifically to see Quebrada de Humahuaca but am happy to take suggestions on other places to see/stay in the area. Would love to head to a lovely…
I'm finishing up in Argentina soon, and am looking to make some weekend trips away in the next couple of months - hiking, biking or something adventurous - fly or bus from Buenos Aires. There are long weekends in June (20th) and July (9th). If anybody is interested to join, let me know. I'm thinking Tandil, Sierra de la Ventana.
