Getting there & around

Chos Malal is small enough to walk around, which is lucky – there’s a serious taxi shortage. To get to the center of town from the bus terminal, walk two blocks down Neuquén and take a right on 25 de Mayo. Plaza Sarmiento is six blocks straight ahead.

Regular buses depart for Zapala (AR$30, three hours), Neuquén (AR$53, six hours) and Varvarco (AR$20, three hours). Three minibuses a day leave between 4:30pm and 5pm for Buta Ranquil (AR$12.50, two hours).
