Lonely Planet review for La Marca

Upscale parrilla with reasonable (for Bariloche) prices. Choose from the impressive range of brochettes (shasliks) – beef, chicken, venison, lamb and salmon. On a sunny day, grab a garden table at the side.

    AVOID!!!

    djflaherty does not recommend this,

On entering the restaurant, we were presented with some mountain wine (a shot glass of warm wine similar to mulled wine). A promising start! But, when our mains arrived we were bitterly disappointed. My partner ordered the loin of venison which arrived in pieces on the plate (a loin should be one cut of meat) full of sinew with boiled potatoes which were half raw. I ordered salmon papillote which was overcooked and tough and came with undercooked noisette potatoes. We're not fussy restaurant goers, but we couldn't eat this. At the end of it all when our bill arrived, we discovered that we had been charged for the mountain wine too! Any excuse to bleed another few pesos out of tourists. Overall, a bad experience and not cheap either - DO NOT GO HERE!!
