Cantina Chinatown
Buenos Aires’ little Chinatown is the barrio to be in when you feel like trading your steak knife for a pair of palitos (chopsticks). Fried-rice-and-jasmine-tea purists favor traditional, family-run diners like the cheerful Cantina Chinatown Plop down at a table by the corner window and order up tender empanadas chinas a la plancha (pot-stickers) and a deep, steaming bowl of rice noodle soup seasoned with delicious Argentina beef.

Petra
With a huge range of mostly Chinese food on offer, this redoubtable all-you-can-eat joint sits on the Plaza 1 de Mayo. The standard is quite a lot better than you might expect – it’s rather a bargain. Drinks not included.
