Getting there & away
The bus terminal (cnr Bequin & Tierra del Fuego) is 3km northwest of downtown (AR$4 by remise). The main north–south carriers leave for Comodoro Rivadavia (AR$14, one hour) hourly from 7am to 11pm, with fewer services on Sunday, and for Río Gallegos (AR$90, seven to 10 hours) four times daily between 8:30pm and 2am, passing Puerto San Julián. Sportsman (485-1287) and La Unión (485-1134) serve Puerto Deseado (AR$36, 3½ hours), Perito Moreno (AR$48, four hours) and Los Antiguos (AR$59, five hours) in the early morning and late afternoon.
