I'm planning a short trip to Buenos Aires but there is one big problem: I have celiac disease. I am unsure if it will be easy for me to eat something there since I can't just go to a restaurant and ask for a gluten-free meal without worrying about cross-contamination, I have to ask for a dish made specifically for someone with celiac disease and not every restaurant is able to do that.
So any information about restaurants that offer gluten-free dishes for people with celiac disease is very…
We travel to Argentina in October and look for recommendations:
- What is a good tour and tour operator for a bike trip starting from Salta?
- Can you recommend an Estancia, ideally on the way from Buenos Aires to Iguacu?
Thank you very much in Advance!
Needing some advice , heading off with a friend to SA next week and we really want to do Mendoza before getting to BA . we will be doing the salt flats in Bolivia and then could go back to La Paz and fly to in or around Mendoza and then bus it to BA . Has anyone does this route before or any advice for me is welcome.
I am considering staying in Bariloche for a week or two next January, and I am wondering about day trips and hikes from there. Are there local companies that offer transport and guiding for day hikes, or boat trips, or other outdoor activities, especially some that I can book once I get to Bariloche? Can anyone recommend good ones?
And can anyone recommend local day hikes that I can do on my own? Popular trails are OK, since I'll be alone. I'm an experienced hiker and speak some…
as of July 1, 2017. This means, for anglo countries, only Canadians have to pay now.
I know the main process for getting a visa (as an Australian), however I am wondering if it is now possible to pay by credit card at the consulate? The reason I ask is that the fee for Australians is up around 2,900ARS and if we need to pay in cash it is quite difficult with the 2,000ARS withdrawal limit and approximate 100ARS fee each time we withdraw... hope someone has some recent information!

Here's my question. I would like to go from Iguazu Falls to Salta. Planes seems expensive/ no direct flights, so I think a bus trip seems like a good idea.
Are there buses that go from Iguazu to Salta? Are there full Cama options?
All help is appreciated, and thanks for reading!
Hoping someone down there can help (or someone who was there last summer maybe, it's a bit cold at present I guess...).
Trying to work out how to get from El Calafate to Puerto Natales on Monday morning.
Bus Ser seems to run Sunday morning, and then Monday afternoon, but my flight arrives Sunday afternoon into EC, and would really like to get into Puerto Natales early enough to do food shopping for Torres del Paine next day.
Does anyone have any idea of what options I will have? I…
My wife and I will be doing the Salta-Cachi-Cafayate-Salta loop in August. We would like to avoid a car rental if possible. Bus service seems readily available only between Salta and Cachi and between Cafayate and Salta.
Is it possible to get a taxi or hire a driver to get from Cachi to Cafayate? A tour company that is mentioned in the LP guidebook quoted me US $180, which seems much too high for this trip.
we are two males mid- late 30's arriving in Buenos Aires 13th (Thursday) September .
We have 17 days in total to see and experience as much as possible. Want a good mix of site seeing, nature, partying!!!
My rough itinerary looks as follows;
---i would greatly appreciate any suggestions /alterations/ input---for example would it be wise to move the El Calafate/El Chalten/TDP section to the last week in the hope that we would get better weather in late September ?? (or is a weeks difference…
