Buses to Jujuy (AR$7, 1¼ hours) run every one to two hours; others go to Tilcara (AR$3, 30 minutes) and Humahuaca (1¼ hours, AR$8). There’s at least one bus every day (bar Monday) to Susques (AR$14, three to four hours) via Salinas Grandes.

Purmamarca has no gas station; the closest can be found 25km north, at Tilcara, or south, at Volcán. Westward, the next gas station is in Susques, 130km of steep climb away.
