Av Las Heras
Across the river on Av Las Heras between Roque Sáenz Peña and Juan B Justo (the area known locally as Abasto) are the discos and nightclubs. Go for a walk along here and you'll probably pick up free passes to some, if not all, of them.

Cuernavaca
Start on Córdoba's drink of choice, Fernet (a strong, medicinal-tasting herbed liquor from Italy), almost always mixed with Coke. Large, loud and fun, Cuernavaca is the place to go on Wednesday night, when it's so crowded you'll barely be able to move. For breathing room, stop by other nights.

El Sha
Tiled arches, dim lighting, cozy booths, white beanbag chairs and electronica give this mosque-like bar a very chilled feel that's great for lounging. When you're all lounged out, hop around Nueva Córdoba - take a walk down Calle Rondeau between Avs H Yrigoyen and Chacabuco after midnight and choose from dozens of bars.
-
Los Infernadas
A laid-back bar playing an eclectic range of music. Live music Thursday to Sundays and a big patio cervecero (beer garden) make this a standout.
-
Ojo Bizarro
In a semi dodgy neighborhood, the Bizarro is one of the city's more bohemian hangouts. There's plenty of mood lighting, and a different DJ in each of the four rooms.

There are a couple of hip café/bars in the central patio area where you can kick back with an Appletini or two.

Teatro del Libertador General San Martín
It's well worth going to a performance here, if only to see the opulence of the country's most historic theater. The theater was completed in 1891, and the floor was designed to be mechanically raised and leveled to the stage, so seats could be removed, allowing for grand parties among the aristocracy of the early 1900s.
