Do you think that the following itinerary is sensible? Is there anything that I have missed!
11 Dec – Arrive in Santiago early morning. Drive to Mendoza region (not sure where yet and aware that we won’t be seeing much in these first two days – I’m aware that this is a lot of driving after a longhaul flight!)
12 Dec – Mendoza region
13 – 15 Drive from Mendoza to Salta over three days (possibly via Villa General Belgrano)
16 Salta – (most of the day will probably be spent driving to…
Have anyone experienced the shuttle from El Calafate to the Park Torres del Paine with a different day for the return and could give me the price for this ? (my tourist guide from 2015 indicates it's $1000-pesos for such trip, while Always Glacier told me by e-mail it would be $2630-pesos so I'm a bit confused with this huge difference...)
Also, have you been happy with the day tour provided by Always Glacier within the Park ?
I'm planning to take the shuttle, enjoy the Always…

I am going to Argentina for Christmas and New Year and travel around with the sleeper busses. But I would like to know if I need to book the trips before I go to Argentina or if it is enough to reserve a few days before when I have arrived in Argentina. I prefer the busses with reclining seats so I can get a good night sleep.
My fiance and I are planning to travel to Argentina for our honeymoon. We are working with a travel agent (due to lack of time to plan this in addition to a wedding!) who proposed the itinerary below. Would love some suggestions/thoughts from those who have been. We are cramming a lot into a two week trip! (12 full days in Argentina)
Day 1: Buenos Aires (flight lands early AM)
Day 2: BA - tour/tango show
Day 3: BA - Ushuaia (flight); free to explore in afternoon or Beagle Channel excursion?
We (2 people) are looking for a private transfer from Posadas to Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. Can anybody recommend a person or taxi company that offers such service? I contacted a few people but these contacts seemed all outdated as they no longer offer such transfer. Thanks for any suggestions.
I need some advice. I am a 36 year old female traveling solo to Patagonia. I will be in Argentina a total of 21 days, giving myself at least 14 days in Patagonia in mid March 2016. I would love to do at least one or two nights of camping but not sure how safe it is to go at it solo. I was reading that in El Chatlen it is rather safe and easy to navigate. I am by no means a pro but have done long hikes and camped before just never alone. Also if anyone has any tips on…
I'm off to Argentina for 2 and a half weeks over the new year and am trying to work out how to get from Buenos Aires to Torre del Pain and am struggling to find an answers! I am trying to keep costs down so looking for cheaper alternatives. I have found a flight down to Rio Gallagos and was then hoping to get a bus over to Puerto Natales, and from there pick up local transport to hike either the Paine Circuit or W. However, i cannot figure out how to get from Rio Gallagos to Puerto…
Just wondering how much time is required in Igauzu falls?
If we arrive on the first day at 11am and leaving third day 6am to Rio.
How would you split the time between both Argentinean and Brazilian side with our 1.5 days?
I heard that the brazil side is smaller and just require half a day; whereas the argentinean side require a full day.
We have first night booked in the Argentinean side and the second night booked in Brazilian side.
Otherwise, maybe first day we can spend the…
