We are going as a group of 12 (6 couples) to BA for 7 days in early May. We would like to see more than just BA so have been looking at day trips.
The options so far are:
1. San Antonio de Areco, and maybe to a close by estancia. Is the best option taking the bus to San Antonio de Areco. Is San Antonio de Areco interesting in its own right? Is there transportation from the town to the estancias, and how do you go about booking that? Do you need to book with an estancia before going, or can you…

So is it because of my VPN that shows I'm in the US that is effecting these prices? Looking for Salta to Cordoba bus tickets and I'm seeing blogs posting about them getting these tickets for dirt cheap and I'm only finding 75$ tickets which is way more than I'm willing to pay for Salta to Cordoba. I dont need the tickets before hand but I would love to actually see what the REAL prices are for these bus trips. Im not looking for the super luxurious tourist buses which seems to be all that pops…

Hey guys. So we have a trip booked to south america for 65 days and one leg is El Chalten to Santiago, or Mendoza if it's a little easier, since its close to Santiago.

We want a bus. A lot of times when I search for questions like mine all i see is suggestions to fly, but that option is not on the table for us. We completely understand that this means probably 2 1/2 - 3 days of travel. We're looking for the cheap buses, maybe some buses that tourists wont usually search for and find on the…

Hello everyone,

so my boyfriend and me booked quite spontaneously and blue eyed flight tickets to and from Buenos Aires from 28.5.-16.6.2017. Since we are the type "want to see as much as possible", we're planning a round trip to cover all the have-to-see-regions. So now I started trying to find the best way for us to get around but at some point I'm getting a tiny bit desperate - that's where all you experienced people come in... :)
Flight from Buenos Aires - Valdes Peninsula - no problem. But…

Planning a trip to Argentina in October. Is a roundtrip airline ticket necessary for traveling to Argentina? I will be retired, and have no date that I need to return. Planning at least 90 days in Argentina (possibly renewing another 90 days), moving onto Chili whenever, then Ecuador until whenever. I thought I read somewhere that when landing in Buenos Aires, you needed to show onward travel overland or otherwise.

I am planning to travel round South America from July-September this year with friends, going from Brazil round the continent to finish in Ecuador or Colombia.

So far, we only have planned to visit Buenos Aires in Argentina, plus Iguazu Falls. Our plan is to go from Iguazu Falls to Buenos Aires, then over into Uruguay and fly from Montevideo to Santiago.

Would it be worth going back to Buenos Aires from Montevideo, then catching a train to Cordoba, staying a few days then getting a bus to…

I've read a lot of threads about going from Puerto Iguazu to the Brazilian side for the day without a visa (as required for US citizens), but it's not clear if it's a common situation that is unofficially allowed or one of avoiding getting caught. Also, if it's 'allowed,' does that hold for an overnight stay?

If there's a real risk of problems, is there an easy way to get a visa on demand? Our bus from Resistencia arrives at Puerto Iguazu at 6:30am on Sunday, so we'd have to wait until…

Hi all! I am looking into moving to Buenos Aires from the US sometime next year. I don't plan to live there permanently, maybe only a year. How doable is that and what are the required steps i would need to take? I'm also wondering about jobs. As an American, would it be difficult to find a job if I know a decent amount of Spanish?
Loaded question, I know. But I just started doing my research and am feeling so overwhelmed at what I'm reading.
