On the Plaza 9 de Julio, this upmarket parrilla specializes in galeto (delicious chicken pieces with stuffing). Also memorable are the brochettes (giant spikes with various delicious meats impaled upon them). The salads are also unusually well prepared.

Value is high at this sociable neighborhood parrilla, which will toss impressive quantities of barbecued chicken and beef down in front of you or even parcel up a mixed grill to take-out. Some days there’s all-you-can-eat specials.

The place to go for pizza, draft beer or empanadas. There’s a well-stocked bar and classical music on the sound system during the week; weekends things get a bit livelier. The lovely old building began as a pharmacy.

With its trademark parrilla smell, this isn't an easy place to walk past when you're hungry. It's even less easy to leave when you've eaten so much salad and meat for your 26 pesos you can hardly move.
