Introducing Laguna Blanca

The handiest base for visiting the Parque Nacional Río Pilcomayo, Laguna Blanca is a spread-out settlement where people move slowly, mostly on scooters and bicycles. Cattle, horses, bananas, and citrus keep people in business here, and the town is renowned for its grapefruit, which are celebrated during the Fiesta del Pomelo in mid-July. To the south of town is a large reserve owned by the Toba.

Laguna Blanca is 55km west of Clorinda and 126km northwest of Formosa. Most services are around the plaza. On its northeastern side are a bank with ATM, and Maxi Compras Plaza, a shop where remises congregate.
