Nearby Resistencia has better long-distance bus connections, especially to the west and northwest. Buses to Resistencia (AR$2, 40 minutes) leave regularly throughout the day from the local bus terminal (cnr Av Costanera General San Martín & La Rioja). Faster are the shared taxis that zip you into Resistencia for AR$2.50. They leave from the same intersection, and also from the corner of Av 3 de Abril and Santa Fe. Buses to Paso de la Patria and Itatí leave from the corner of Belgrano and Roca.

Corrientes has a long-distance bus terminal (Av Maipú, btwn Manatiales & Nicaragua). Sample fares:

Aerolíneas Argentinas (428678; Junín 1301) flies to Buenos Aires daily (AR$504), and five times weekly to Asunción (AR$644), Paraguay. It also flies to Buenos Aires from nearby Resistencia. You can fly to Corrientes from Formosa (AR$ 123), but not the otherway.
