I would like to spend the month of August in Argentina, learning tango in a fairly intense way. I don't know how to go about finding a school/teachers. I am not a complete beginner. Does anyone have any suggestions or better yet, experiences to share?
We are planning on crossing the border over from San Pedro de Atacama by bus and spending some time in the area north of Jujuy. Ideally we want to hire a car and go explore for a few days before making our way down to Cafayte. Just wondering if there are any small local agencies that have cars for hire in the region, rather than going all the way down to Jujuy, hiring a car and backtracking on ourselves to get back up to Tilcara?
I will go to El Calafate17/8. I want to know the time schedule of bus running to and from between El Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier. Is there any boat trip in mid-August? Also, I have checked the weather of El Calafate.. It seems that there will be snowy weather without any sunshine. Is it a bad time to go to Glacier in term of weather?
We are making a quick visit to the falls in mid November. Can people help us with information on the following
1. Is access to the falls easy. LP says 30 minutes by bus from Puerto Iguazu. Does it run regularly, including weekends?
2. How close does the bus drop you to the falls? Is there a long walk from the drop-off point?
3. We may decide to go with a day tour. Does anybody have any good companies they have used?
4. Does anybody have accommodation recommendations? Something comfortable. $30-50…
We need to get from SCL to Ushuaia. We can fly cheaply to Punta Arenas arriving at around 9am. We need to be in Ushuaia the following day if we go on the cruise we are hoping for. Only trouble is I believe we will miss all the buses as they depart early morning.... Any other suggestions?
We are planning a sea kayaking expedition on Peninsula Valdes and need to transport ourselves and our gear (folded kayaks, other gear and supplies)in a pickup truck or van from Puerto Madryn out onto the Peninsula's north cape. Anyone know a taxi service in Puerto Madryn?
I am planning a 2 weeks + trip on my own in Argentina in August. My brief plan is starting off with 4-5 days in BA, then I will fly to Iguazu for 2 nights. I really want to visit the glaciers and hopefully have some ice walk in El Calafate, but I am not sure whether it is a suitable time of the year? And what about Ushuaia? Are these places too cold with little daylight to visit in late August? I saw threads mentioning Salta is a good choice for this time of the year but it seems it would be…
I am planning to travel to Argentina in October. A few years ago I traveled to Venezuela and was able to use Caracas as my headquarter and took day or two day trips into different parts of Venezuela. Could this be done if I stay in Buenos Aires? Can you do day trips into Argentina for a day or two and then headquarter in Buenos Aires? In Venezuela a bus ride was 10 + hours soI would fly by plane. Is this similar in Argentina?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated?
