Buying bus tickets with Argentine pesos

I am planning to travel throughout Argentina by bus in February and March. I am visiting from the UK.

Can I purchase long distance bus tickets in cash with pesos? I have read that there are restrictions on foreigners paying for 'tourism related services' with pesos, and that they are required to pay in US dollars... Is this correct?

If I can buy tickets with pesos , then it will be considerably cheaper for me to first change my dollars via the 'blue dollar rate' .

High season

Hey,

we are 2 young people and we are leaving to BA tomorrow!!!
Since it is high season and we are thinking of always going to the hostels proposed by Lonely Planet without prior reservation, do you think it is ok? Or will those hostels be full?
We will go to Mendoza, Bariloche, El Calafate...

Thanks, K.

USD bills

Hello,
one last question before our departure.
We only have 100 USD bills. Is it ok to change it at Florida or is the value too high and would it be better to have smaller bills?

Thank you, K.

How to get from the airport to the centre

Hello,
we are arriving to Buenos Aires this week at 21:15. What is the best transportation to také to the city in the evening? I am sure the immigration procedures will také some time, so what is the best way to go to the centre?
And how much shall it cost? And can we pay in US dollars? Because we want to change the money in the city centre.

Thank you, K.

Car rental companies in Argentina

Hi to all,
I have this plan of flying from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia next week and then start a trip from south to north (until about mid of the country)visiting nice sights, nature, villages, etc. The idea was to rent a car, but leaving it in another spot costs too much so now looks better to make big distances with bus and locally rent a car to go around a couple of days doing sight seeing. Then drop the car and move to the next spot with bus. Just bought my ticket last night and will have very…
