Bus
Mendoza’s bus terminal (431-5000, 431-3001; cnr Avs R Videla & Acceso Este, Guaymallén) is really just across the street from downtown. After arriving, walk under the Videla underpass (it’s lined with merchandise stalls) and you’ll be heading toward the center, about 15 minutes away. Otherwise, the ‘Villa Nueva’ trolley (actually a bus) connects the terminal with downtown.
Local buses cost AR$1.10 – more for longer distances such as the trip to the airport – and require a magnetic Mendobus card, which can be bought at most kiosks in denominations of AR$2 and AR$5. Most lineas (bus lines) also have internos (internal route numbers) posted in the window; for example, linea 200 might post interno 204 or 206; watch for both numbers. Internos indicate more precisely where the bus will take you.
