Lonely Planet review for Acuario Municipal Mendoza
Nothing at this small underwater freak show seems to have changed since its inauguration in 1945 (except the algae levels on the glass). But it’s hard not to gaze in awe at the motionless, tongueless albino frogs or the ‘armored pig, ’ a very ugly fish from the Río Paraná. Skip the crocodile exhibit.

Jorge the sea turtle
cmmc does not recommend this,
The aquarium was ok until "Jorge". Jorge is a sea turtle and he lives in a small tank about 1.5 meters in diameter. It has Plexiglas walls and a metal floor and nothing else. Nothing, not even one plant. He was banging his head up against the glass constantly. I do not know what conditions are considered to be a minimum to keep a sea turtle in a captivity but...
Sad and depressing would be my review.
