With excellent Mediterranean and Spanish tapas (mostly seafood), great wines, intimate atmosphere, good art and friendly service, La Tasca is one of Mendoza’s best.

The seafood joke
yeager74 recommends this,
Girlfriend and me (said the dog).
The ambiance in this place is very nice indeed.
Paintings, seatings, arts, photos and lightning.
Entering the restaurante, we were meet with warmth by very nice lady. The food and the wine.
We were initially amazed at the selection of sea food on the menu card.
I did make a remark straight away that this is not the right place in the world to be having sea food - this is homeland for steaks and meat.
Anyways. I ordered - grilled seafood and shellfish and GF a seafood stew.
It arrived. We look at it. The presentation was just wrong (well right in terms of actual taste), some fresh greens of tomato and lettuce (cold of course) with some warm seafood souce and bits and pieces of shell fish.. Not nice at all - even before getting into it.
My GF's stew tasted like dish water from a seafood plate - at best.
I dont know what to say about my dish, its was simply tasteless and made me wanting to go by McDonalds on the way home. The Vino Blanco from Salta was chosen because none of the first two choices were available. Now wine of course is also a matter of personal taste but this one is not right to put on your wine card.
