Lonely Planet review for La Marchigiana
Mendoza’s most frequently recommended Italian restaurant. The decor may seem stark, but the service is warm and a few Argentine twists to the classic Italian menu keep things interesting.

disappointment
jeffbr recommends this,
I have eaten at many places in Mendoza but this was a big disappointment This is my third visit and I am here for 3 months. After reading all of the great reviews and eating at the mother restaurant Francisco's near by I was excited about eating here. It was the service that was the real problem, It was terrible. All men staff that must have been trained to act Parisian. Our Waiter was nonexistent to the point that we had to ask other staff for assistance which they were less than happy to oblige.
The food was also a problem that may have been caused by the waiter. My wife did not get what she ordered but it was very good. I ordered the seafood pasta and it was very fishy, 99 % squid, I did not finish it.
Next time I will return to their primary restaurant Francisco's and pay a few pesos more and enjoy the meal
