Argentina is a remarkably child-friendly country, and Buenos Aires holds plenty of attractions perfect for kids. Buenos Aires is filled with kid-centric museums, plazas and parks, many with playgrounds. On weekends, these parks bustle with families taking walks, picnicking or playing sports. Porteños adore children – and it shows. The majority of hotels accept children without any problems; the most upscale may even offer babysitting services. Most restaurants offer a selection of food suitable for children (vegetables, pasta, pizza, meat and chicken). Empanadas (meat, vegetable or egg pastries) make good healthy snacks. Remember that families stay out very late in this country – it’s common to see young kids and babies out past midnight with their parents. Everyone is out having fun, so consider doing the same!
