i loved it here and felt like i spent months when it was nearly a week. i met the best volunteers ever and it sparked a flame in me to become a yoga instructor. now i'm teaching at home and i absolutely love it. the universe brought me here for many reasons and i will go back again once i return to AR. i love it there, i felt at home. learned so much and had fun sleeping out in the tree house, working on the gardens, watching movies at night, yoga and meditation in the morning, and eating so much dulce de leche it was bleeding out of me.
and the dairy farm next door is amazing as well yummm!!!besitos a todo alli!
Good for: meditation, yoga, volunteer, singing, gardening, being outdoors

A superb all round experience
jillops recommends this,
We ended up staying for 10 nights at the Eco Yoga Park, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience as a whole, taking many positives from it.
Morning work duties were rotated, starting at 9am (ish). Generally there is a lot to do in the large organic garden run by Maria, this time of year (towards end of winter) involved lots of weeding, “Muchos Weeds” was said a lot, in our finest Spanish. Spending time in the garden was a great place to be, so peaceful and therapeutic, and you soon warmed up as the morning progressed and sun appeared. My wife really enjoyed helping out in the kitchen, which was always busy. Im sure she can still hear the Hare Krishna music buzzing in her head as this always played loud in the Kitchen, but luckily she quite liked it. Fresh produce was picked from the garden and the volunteers help to prep the food for lunch and dinner. The food was excellent, so tasty, varied and fresh, I’m sure our bodies almost went into shock from the attack of nutrients! We never went hungry, as seconds were always encouraged. One of my favourites was the freshly made bread at breakfast, cooked in the outdoor wood burning oven.
I quite enjoyed working with the trees, strengthening the recently planted weeping willows and eucalyptus with bamboo, then we decided to extend a bamboo fence, and we both got to work transplanting them. It’s good to look back and see what you’ve achieved at the end of the day.
Considering this was our first go at yoga and meditation I think we did all right. Every day in the temple we’d be stretching ourselves silly, some positions were easy enough, some extremely difficult. After doing it every day you can definitely feel a difference, feeling stronger and more supple, combined with all the work and healthy eating, we are feeling pretty good right now. During each session we would participate in the Maha Mantra which initially felt strange.
One of the Park’s aims is promote and use sustainable methods of building, living and improve self sufficiency. Whilst the park is well established (10 years next week) there is still a lot more that can be done to develop the sustainability within the park. One things for sure, we will not miss the dry compost toilets. We met a great bunch of people at the park, both the staff and other volunteers all with a story about their journey to share. The atmosphere was great and very relaxed. I took the opportunity to try to learn Spanish whilst the wife preferred to spend time with the many dogs and cats that have taken refuge at the park.
This is just what we needed, a base for a week, to recharge the batteries and re-gain the focus and enthusiasm for travelling. Believe it or not, travelling can be tiring and hard work at times. It was difficult to leave actually, as we were enjoying it so much, but we’re pretty excited about seeing some more of South America.
Good for: relaxing, Learning Spanish, yoga, meeting people, volunteering, Time out from travelling.
Not good for: Meat, lazy people, beers, Caffine

We all have to find our own answers to life...

"I thought being in the country with animals on a small farm would be a great change of pace after spending a few months in the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aires. EYP provided this and so much more. The yoga and meditation classes were top rate and great for calming the mind. The staff were very attentive and kind and they served 3 delicious meals plus snacks every day.
The best part of my stay was meeting and getting to know my fellow travellers. This seems to be a place where people feel free to be themselves and don´t put up barriers so I felt I had a good glimpse into their real lives which was nice. Talking to them was a positive affirmation that people are basically good and want to be better people. We all have to find our own answers to life and EYP provides an ideal opportunity to think and reflect on our lives."Good for: Yoga & meditation, to know travellers, to find our own answers

I think I have found a place where I can feel like a human
aleksanderbilanovik recommends this,
Hola!
My name is Aleksandar and I’m from Serbia though I have lived outside my home country for many years. In most of the countries I have lived I felt like an outsider or like I was being regarded as an alien and I felt like I just didn’t fit in. But finally, I think I have found a place where I can feel like a human. Yes, a real human.
The place where I have found my better me is Eco Yoga park which is 60 km away from Buenos Aires. It is a place where all prejudices, all concepts, all borders between humans really do not exist. I’ve liked traveling in Latin America and I did it for a long time. All the outside beauty of this amazing continent past in front of my eyes like the best movie ever. I’ve seen mountains and beaches, I‘ve breathed the fresh Patagonian air, I’ve tasted all the fruits and material pleasures that you can find on and off the road, but one day I just got tired. You know what I’m talking about?; all the crazy parties, girls, buses, huge amounts of meat, lots of booze, and lots of other things made me feel mentally and physically exhausted. Somehow one day I found this place and now I’m staying until September. Why?The most important thing of all for me is that in eco yoga park I have found very nice and gentle people. The second thing is that we are living in ecological environment here, very modest but very warm due to the positive energy that surrounds us. We harvest most of food that we eat ourselves, we are doing yoga and meditation classes every day. The energetic wave that we are surfing on is something inexplicable in words.
All the answers that I have been searching whole my life suddenly appeared in Eco Yoga Park. And the best part of all; all these good things came out of thin air without any external pressure. Just silence, smiles and meditation. After just a few weeks in Eco Yoga Park I have realized that the good bloke who was lying dormant in my body has begun to wake up and, most importantly, I like him more than the other guy who used to rent my body !!

something complety different...

Only an hour away from busy Buenos Aires you enter a completely diferent world.
At Eco Yoga Park, time seems to pass more slowly than in the rest of the world.
The days are clearly structured and revolve around meals, voluntary work, yoga,
meditation and evening chats by the fire place.
If you want to, you can learn a lot of new exiting things: whether it is about
yoga, Hindi philosophy, planting trees or yummy vegetarian recepies.
If you just need some quiet time for yourself to reflect on your travels,
your life, your future or whatever, it is a good place to be as well.
The people who run the place are very open-minded and live their lifes closely
conected to Mother Earth.
I came to this place feeling quite lost and with a thousand questions
spinning around in my mind. I think I found some answers here.Good for: meditation, hatha yoga, sustainable life, contact with nature, peacefull atmosphere
Not good for: Alcohol, party, smoking

Kindle your soul...

A sanctuary of love and serenity that reawakens the dormant spirituality of many a wayward traveller. Whether you're merely stopping by for a taste of the good life before moving on to pastures new, or embarking on a lifestyle makeover, Eco Yoga Park is a soul-searcher's wonderland.
As pleasing to the eyes as it is to both body and mind, the landscape teems with fertility and fruitfulness. A beautifully-tended vegetable garden features immaculate rows of carrots, cabbages and a profusion of other healthy treats poised to nourish many a hungry belly. Beyond the allotment lies a vast expanse of lush crops and over-zealous shrubs swaying in the perpetual breeze. Cattle graze in contented oblivion amidst a spattering of hand-made eco-huts, and newly-planted willows, vivacious in their youth. At the heart of it all, standing tall and proud, is the oval-shaped temple, white and pure with stone-glass windows and a stunning interior, where daily yoga and meditation classes will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and more flexible than a circus contortionist.
Sounds of nature fill the air, comingling with the echoes of laughter and song. Animals frolicking in happy abandon as people work together to enrich their communal lives. People drawn together from all walks of life with a plethora of wisdom and experience, learning and sharing the knowledge in their hearts. Each brings with them a unique perspective, kindred spirits ever-kindling the spark of inspiration. Irrespective of age and personal background, this is a community founded on mutual love, respect, and humility. As a wise friend once put it, 'everyone who comes here leaves their ego at the door.'
It is a place that exemplifies the profound beauty of nature and bears the abundant fruits of human strength and creativity. Working here is a labour of love that has left an indelible mark on my heart and taught me what it means to truly live in peace.
Nunca olvido...Somos uno...We are one.Good for: body, soul, mind, self-discovery, friendship, laughter
Not good for: people who like to shower, nymphomaniacs

The beauty of farm life
jadek recommends this,
As I sit in my small yellow sun pueblo, the flies now polka dotting the walls, smoke from the fire blurring the lines of the thatch roof, I think about the place I‘ve just arrived in. Eco Yoga Park’s premise is a natural life, they provide three vegetarian meals a day plus a snack .There is spotty internet and minimal electricity. One of my more recent discoveries was the toilet. Since Eco Yoga Park advertises itself as a volunteer farm as well as a tourism spot there facilities are pretty in tune with the modern world, meaning yes there is a toilet as opposed to simply a hole in the ground. It is in fact a compost, scary at first but after a little while it begins to make sense, obviously our waste should go back into the earth to be recycled. We forget that our world works in a circle, which is something we come here to remember.
We make our meals using food from the garden, we spend our days reading, writing, and really enjoying nature. We work in the morning, giving back to our environment and then we do yoga usually two times a day. Basically it’s a place where we harvest peace. Its great. Honestly I’ve learnt so much here and I would recommend it to anyone. Great, very diverse people and a great environment to grow from.
Good for: Peace, reading, yoga, writing, meeting fantastic people, rehabilitation
Not good for: drinking, Partying, indulging

Challenging yourself
claratalbot recommends this,
The eco yoga farm is a great place to come and relax, meet interesting and lovely people, get involved, practice yoga and meditate. Just a short bus ride out of the city it offers a totally different experience than anything I have found in my travels to far. Having a structured day with set times for work, meals, relaxation and yoga sets a nice pattern, that does take some time getting used to, but becomes immensely enjoyable after all the late nights of Buenos Aires. The work is varied and you can choose daily what type you’d like to partake in. It can be quite physical but I found it rewarding.
Having never done anything like this before, I had no idea what to expect but 2 weeks on I can’t imagine leaving. It was really nice to be able to be in a serene environment where you can detach and detox. It offers the opportunity to get in touch with your mind and body through yoga and meditation and creating time where you can sit with yourself with no distractions. I really enjoyed the fresh organic meals, you are served delicious food four times a day, and the absence of alcohol and cigarettes.
If your coming in the wintertime warm clothes that you doesn’t mind getting dirty are a necessity and during the summer bring bug spray. Also the farm is mainly Hare Krishna’s, but with the majority if not all the volunteers not being Hare Krishna’s themselves. It is an interesting insight into the religion and they are warm, welcoming people.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and think that anyone who is looking for an experience like this to try it out. Challenge yourself in the yoga, in the work and in the new experiences.
Good for: reading, relaxation, amazing food, meeting new people
Not good for: drinking, late nights, clean clothes

A wonderful, loving, spiritual volunteer experience!!
paulokundera recommends this,
Eco Yoga Park is a yoga and meditation farm about 60 km outside of Buenos Aires. While a city is near, it feels as if we are in our own little world. Animals surround the farm - birds, cows, cats, dogs, roosters, horses, and more. There are beautiful fields that seem to go on forever. Upon arriving ten days ago, I imagined I'd stepped into a different world - one in which people care about making themselves and the world better, and doing that through volunteer work in the garden, building eco-houses, in the kitchen, painting, and generally doing whatever is asked of me. Over the past ten days I've had the opportunity to participate - for about four hours a day - in ALL of it.
In the afternoons, one has the choice of attending yoga classes, philosophy classes, or just hanging out and reading. The yoga classes are taught either by volunteers or by some of the people who live here, and have all been very nice. I have yet to attend a philosophy class, though the friends who have done so tell me that they are thoughtful and open-minded. The "spiritual" foundation of Eco Yoga Park is based in Hindu texts, but spiritual discourse - as well as discourse about what it means to make a better world - thrives here, and all faiths and perspectives are accepted, respected, and even cherished (I'm Jewish, for instance).
At night people hang out in the kitchen, the cinema, the dining room, or their houses - talking, playing cards, watching movies, or checking email (yes, there's Internet here!). The mix of people I've gotten to know here have been really loving, open minded, and are great teachers and listeners. I've felt honored to be able to learn from Thakur and others who live here, as well as from volunteers who tend toward the more thoughtful, philosophical, and helpful walks of life. Overall, it's been a really amazing experience. I've connected with the earth here, connected with my own inner spirituality through yoga, meditation, and even chanting, made lasting friends in the kind of serene setting that I once used to dream about.
Good for: meditation, relaxing, yoga, volunteering, love
Not good for: drinking, Partying, smoking
