On Sundays, Calle Defensa is closed to traffic and the street is a sea of people browsing the hippy crafts stalls as they make their pilgrimage from Plaza de Mayo to Plaza Dorrego. The latter is jammed with stalls selling antiques, collectibles and bric-a-brac - everything from gorgeous green and cobalt blue antique seltzer bottles to tango memorabilia; this market is officially known as Feria de Pedro San Telmo.
