While this chic parrilla (grill restaurant) is a relaxing place to tackle a huge steak or a pasta during the day, at night it's a very different beast indeed. While the staff remain cool, on a busy night you can wait up to an hour for a table - it's the price you pay for hanging with the most stylish crowd in Las Cañitas.

This place was just ok. Definitely on the higher end of the parilla scale, but.. I don't have a real need to go back, nor would I suggest it to someone who was only in town for a few nights. Grills are a dime a dozen in Buenos Aires, and this one did not stand out from the last.. The "parilla for two" is a significant amount of food.. but only includes a vast assortment of cuts of meat that you've probably not tried before. Rule #1 for eating asado (b-bq): don't ask questions.. just accept that what you are chewing is tasty and leave it at that. I did not try it, but I did notice a "vegetarian parilla" selection on the menu.. a rare option in these parts. Oh, and speaking of rare, the service was quick and friendly.

Dear Campo Bravo, For years I had heard about the delicious cuts of steak one could find in Buenos Aires. Dreams of affordable and tasty cuts of meat lured me into the arms of many a restaurant that I wandered past, yet all failed to live up to expectations. "Perhaps it really is too good to be true," I thought. A delicious steak for only $10USD remained elusive.... Sure, I had some great meat, but it wasn't cheap. And the cheap meat I did eat was only so-so. And then, I dined at Campo Bravo. Oh Dear Ribeye, Dear Dear Campo Bravo Ribeye, I found you. It was love at first bite. Campo Bravo, your service was friendly, your atmosphere classy and relaxed, and your ribeye... only $30AR and the best I've had. I sampled your desserts, huge portions of sweet strawberries and thick chocolate mousse (each for only $9AR). I consumed your mojitos, proportionally pricey ($22AR each) but well-made and minty-fresh. Your kind server treated me and my date to a glass of champagne, on the house. The deal was sealed. I've already returned to dine with you again, and I enjoyed your plates of chicken risotto, roasted vegetables, and puree of potatos and squash. I will be back for your ribeye before my remaining three weeks in Buenos Aires are complete. My dear Campo Bravo, you have won my heart.
