Belén’s bus terminal (cnr Sarmiento & Rivadavia), one block south and one block west of the plaza, is sadly underused, and Catamarca (AR$18, four hours) is the only long-distance destination served daily at a reasonable hour. There’s a night service to La Rioja (AR$25, five hours) and Córdoba (AR$62, 14 hours), as well as three buses a week to Santa María (AR$15, five hours) via Hualfin. Buses go Monday to Saturday to Andalgalá (AR$10, two hours). For Salta and Tucumán, you can change at Catamarca or Santa María.

Hotel Belén, among others, runs minibuses to Catamarca Monday to Friday.
