Train
The train station (475-6076; Av Luro 4700 at Italia; 6am-midnight) is about 2km from the beach. Tickets can also be purchased at the Ferrobaires office (451-2501; Alberti 1602; 8am-9pm) which is located at the bus terminal.
During summer, the tourist train El Marplatense travels seven times daily (eight on Sunday) to Buenos Aires. Reservations should be made far in advance, since it’s usually booked solid through the season. One-way turista (2nd-class) fares cost AR$28; Super Pullman (1st-class) costs AR$55. There are daily departures through the slower seasons as well.
