I am seeking advice on where to exchange money in Buenos Aires. I am seduced by the blue market rates (blue dollar , euro) since they are much better than the official ones... but... any advice concerning a reliable casa de cambio in Buenos Aires?
how about Mendoza?
Thank you so much for any info!!
As part of my trip to Argentina, I booked three internal flights. The last one, from Ushuaia to Iguazu, it looks like there will be a stopover in Trelew (same flight number so I assume I dont have to change plane), and in Buenos Aires.
Now I just noted that I will land in BA EZE at 4.50pm and my flight to Iguazu is at 7.25pm from BA AEP !!
Do I have enough time to change airport?? And should I collect my luggage at EZE or is it going to be transfered to AEP?
Thanks for any help you…
I understand from the Argentinian press and official sources that foreigners in Argentina now have to pay for all major services (bus, plane, hotels) in USD not ARS unless they are residents.
In practice are foreigners made to do so?
The implications are obvious. There is no point in obtaining ARS at a good rate in the UK if you cannot use them as extensively as anticipated. On the other hand making the wrong assumption that transport and hotels are always going to demand USD when this is not…
Hola!
Planning to travel to El Calafate and Ushuaia next year. I live in Brazil and Iam fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English. I have the basic itinerary laid down but iam welcome to suggestions.
Travelling to South America in a months time, landing in the Buenos Aires International Airport.
We want to go to Iguazu Falls, haven't booked anything, we are waiting til we get there. Time is not an issue but budget is, thinking of going by Bus which I know takes longer but is cheaper than flying. Can anyone recommend a good tour company to go with for when we get to Puerto Iquazu?
Or alternatively do you know of any tours/guides that provide a round trip from Buenos Aires - Iguazu…

First, a quick tutorial on how to access the discounted tickets with the Visit Argentina.
First go to the following page: http://www.aerolineas.com.ar/en-au/cheap_flights/visit_argentina
Then, select your country next to "To make your coupon booklet reservation, select your country of residence."
A pop-up will pop, as they do, so make sure you allowed them on this website.
Just write your international flight's number & your info.
There you are, you can now search and add several…
I'll be arriving in bariloche from chile in a few weeks time. Since I am from a country that uses the euro I would prefer to access the 'blue' market using the euro, but the question is, do I get a good rate for euro cash in bariloche? Or do I really have to carry USD? Chilean pesos would also be an option for me, I could just get them from the ATM before I cross the border.
