Embroidery is valued throughout Algeria, but perhaps nowhere more than in Constantine. At Amar Bouldajdj & Frères the Bouldajdj brothers have an excellent selection of new embroidered clothes, particularly mejboudi (embroidered, sleeveless, velvet gowns), some of which sell for hundreds of dollars.
