Not the city’s finest but certainly its most atmospheric, the three-star Cirta is a throwback to colonial days. It’s a huge white Moorish building that looms over place des Martyrs. The restaurant here serves some of the best food in town. A mix of French and Algerian dishes are served with style in a large Moorish hall, accompanied by a good range of wines.
