Itinerary
Day 1 Victoria Falls
Arrive in Zimbabwe early and use free time to try the adventure activities on offer such as abseiling or canoeing. In the afternoon, the incredible power of nature will astound on a visit to Victoria Falls.
Day 2 Bulawayo
Travel to Bulawayo and spend time mingling with locals in the busy markets.
Day 3 Masvingo
Head to the oldest colonial settlement in Zimbabwe, Masvingo, and set off to explore the ancient ruins, thought to have once been a royal palace.
Day 4 Lake Chicamba
Zebra and eland are often seen meandering by the shimmering Lake Chicamba. Fishing is popular here - but be sure to hire a boat as crocodiles lurk beneath the surface.
Days 5-7 Vilankulo
Vilankulo, Mozambique's pleasure playground, offers gorgeous coral reefs, sandy beaches and lush islands. Spend a day sailing the archipelago in a dhow - a traditional Arab sailboat.
Days 8-9 Morrungulo
Camp among coconut groves and enjoy free time snorkelling, diving or simply lazing about on the warm sands of Morrungulo's pristine shores.
Day 10 Praia de Tofo
Discover the colonial port town of Praia de Tofo. Make camp on a pristine beach, with friendly locals and fresh seafood at hand.
Day 11 Maputo
The glamorous city of Maputo has a distinctly European feel. Visit its excellent restaurants before heading out to listen to a local infusion of jazz, house and reggae.
Days 12-13 Kruger National Park
Travel to the South African border and push onwards into the mighty Kruger National Park. Embark on afternoon game drives to spot Africa's iconic Big Five.
Day 14 Johannesburg
Take in awesome views of the Blyde River Canyon on the journey towards the busy streets of Johannesburg. Toast the end of an eye-opening Mozambique getaway tour with a cold bottle of Amstel lager.
