Itinerary
Day 1 Amman
Arrive early to see the sights of Amman, including the Roman ruins of Jerash or the Byzantine mosaics of nearby Madaba.
Days 2-3 Petra
Take time out to float in the Dead Sea or get covered in mineral-rich mud, acclaimed for its healing properties. Explore the ancient stone city of Petra, carved from rose-hued cliff faces.
Day 4 Wadi Rum
Discover this dazzling desert landscape and camp with local Bedouin in the desert. Enjoy a traditional meal and learn about local customs from our friendly hosts.
Days 5-6 Red Sea Beach Camp
Travel from the desert to the sea where sunshine, snorkelling, swimming or scuba diving through underwater scenery awaits.
Day 7 Mt Sinai
Step into biblical tales and climb the steps to the summit of Mt Sinai. Visit the monastery of St Katherine, built around the burning bush that 'spoke' to Moses.
Days 8-9 Cairo
Get lost among the market stalls of the Khan al-Khalili bazaar or visit the Sphinx and Pyramids of Giza. Be sure to head to the Egyptian Museum to see Tutankhamun's impressive array of treasures.
Days 10-11 Aswan
Try Nubian food in laidback Aswan. It's also possible to visit the imposing temples of Abu Simbel.
Day 12 Nile Felucca
Relax and enjoy the views on a chilled out felucca ride down the Nile. Watching the sun set across the Nile is a highlight of any Egyptian adventure.
Days 13-14 Luxor
Consider riding a donkey to see Pharaohs' tombs in the Valley of the Kings, take a hot air balloon ride or visit the Temples of Karnak.
Days 15-16 Alexandria
Delve into the catacombs of Kom ash-Shuqqafa or visit the remarkable Bibliotheca Alexandrina, inspired by the original great library of Alexandria. This amazing new library was built to hold more than eight million books.
Days 10-11 Siwa Oasis
Visit the Oasis of Siwa and take a dip in Cleopatra's Bath, walk through the maze-like ruins of the fort or hire a bicycle and ride to the Mountain of the Dead.
Day 19 Bawiti
Discover monuments dating back to Roman times in this oasis dotted with date palms.
Day 20 White Desert Camp
Enjoy a sense of adventure among the windswept dunes and surreal rock formations of the White Desert. Spend a memorable night camping under the stars.
Days 21-22 Cairo
Head back to the souqs in Cairo to grab a bargain.
