Kabul’s other fashion house (along with Tarsian & Blinkley), Zarif & Royah recently hosted Kabul’s first fashion show. Elegantly cut women’s clothes in traditional Afghan fabrics wouldn’t look out of place in Milan or Paris.

    Absolutely worth the visit!

    Designer Zolaykha Sherzad is masterful in crafting interesting patterns with beautiful fabrics. Zarif definitely doesn't jump out at you but it is located just beyond restaurant Bentoya on third street off Butcher. You walk into a traditional courtyard area and the showroom is to the right. It feels like you are walking into someone's house. The manager of the shop is lovely and extremely helpful. Besides clothing, Zarif Design also has collections by Turquoise Mountain of jewelry, wood carvings and art.
