3. Mystery Canyon

   Mystery Canyon lets you be a rock star: the last rappel drops into the Virgin River before admiring crowds hiking the Narrows. It's accessed off Zion Ponderosa Ranch roads in East Zion; ask rangers for more information. Backcountry permit required; hiker shuttle necessary.

4. Finca Modelo Ecologica

   This 3000-acre family finca offers a number of diversions, including two-hour dairy tours (US$15) and a similar perusal of its organic vegetable garden (US$25), but its raison d'etre is the new two-hour canyoneering tour, which winds past six waterfalls and includes a 40m rappel down the largest of them all.
